After wrong answer item should be tested next time in that session.
I'd like the word which I answered wrong be tested again in that particular test session, until I will finally answer correct. That option can be activated in settings tab.

A button to hide the text
Could have a button to hide the text, because sometimes I want to listen to the audio without reading the text together.

in the moment you can move down the divider between the audio and the text frame to hide the text.

Too much work. Maybe later.

Add mode to show existing terms' translations in reading frame
I find that the "print" version of texts, with the translation hints one has saved so far, greatly increases ease and fluency when reading difficult texts. I wondered if it would be possible to have something like that in normal reading/working mode (when one can also edit old and create new terms), so you wouldn't have to do as much "mouse-work", relying on pop-up fields for getting the translation every time you need one. Having one's translations between the lines might be an even clearer arrangement, but in front of each word works just as well, I suppose.

Open web dictionaries at custom offset from top
Is it possible to have the web dictionaries in the lower right frame automatically open at a certain height (so that they're already scrolled down a bit)? Some dictionaries have a lot of stuff at the top of the loaded page and one has to scroll down every time to get to the actual word definitions.

Add column total number of words and base difficulty percentage/readability number on it
I assume the suggestion to show "Saved Words" by category in the Texts window was denied because these were the queries that would take too much time, so I'm resubmitting the second part:
I'd like to see the total number of words of the individual texts since they tell me more about the approximate reading time needed. (I don't mean the total of unique words, as it is displayed at the moment)
This being a fixed number in contrast to the aforementioned categorized words, I hope this won't be a problem.
I also think it would be more useful to… more1 vote -
Display imbedded images
I imagine there won't be but since many children's and non-fiction texts like to include them: is there a way at all to have pictures (e.g. jpegs) shown in reading mode?

Not possible now, but maybe in the future, how many images per text?

Ignore a whole expression
I would really like to mark an expression (for example Expr. 2) and ignore the whole expression (the two words) so that both words will be marked white. There are a lot of names (for- and surnames) where now both words have to be selected seperately.

Rate Texts
Add an extra column on the "<Language> Texts..." (edit_texts.php) page that is a user ranking (Easy through Hard, or something like that, 1 through 5, etc) and allow sorting of texts based on rank.

Split New text into multiple sperated texts
I'd like to split a long New text into multiple smaller ones. For example, a text of 2000 words can be split into 4 texts of 500 words and them called "Tiltle of the new text 1/4", "Tiltle of the new text 2/4", "Tiltle of the new text 3/4" "Tiltle of the new text 4/4".
On the New Text page we could choose, in a drop-down list, the number of "small texts" we want the original text being split. This drop-down list has 1 by default, and can be changed to 2,3,4,5 ...
Splitting text could 1) increase the speed… more

Make a keyboard shortcut to assign blue words as well-known
When using LWT with languages that the learner knows better, usually the majority of blue words won't need to be defined. That's why I would find it useful to have some way to mark them as well-known (if possible "ignore" as well) by a single keystroke rather than the usual moving the mouse and two clicks.
Kindly disregard this suggestion if this should be impossible programming-wise, since it's also been hinted that blue words are treated differently than saved ones making it impossible to cycle through them, so one has to edit them sequentially.0 votesunder review ·

If I implement this I must change the current action of the key, because now if pressed, you are immediately in new term input mode.

Add "Previous Text" and "Next Text"
A Previous and Next links could avoid us to go back on the text selection menu after finishing the current reading.
That's especially useful when we have imported several texts in once. Then, when reading those imported texts, we could go on the next text (or previous) without going back to text selection menu.

Open editing/dictionary frame for all words on-click in the reading frame
Currently only clicking on the blue words automatically opens the editing and dictionary fields. Since I often come across a new meaning for a word I already edited before, but would like to change at that point, it would be convenient to have these two fields also open directly, i.e. on-click, for all other (non-blue) words in the texts.
I realize, though, that others might be using clicking instead of hovering on these words to only show their already existing definitions in the usual popup, and since loading/updating two extra frames costs time, maybe this function could be made optional.5 votes -
Make the way (black frame) words are selected depend on red frame selected words
With the current implementation, the position of a word selected with left & right arrows is independent form the position selected by pressing the return key. I think it'd be better if the position of the selected word (black frame) derived from the selected blue word (red frame).

yes it’s independent because they are independent sets of words/terms (saved/unsaved).
Maybe you explain in more detail what you mean? For what would it be useful? -
Let users customize the color scheme
I'd like to be able to change the background, underlining, maybe even text color if it's possible. I think there are different reasons users would like to do that, one I thought of is that I would like to try not entering terms at all in a language and just learn by context, ticking off only the words I comfortably know and leaving all unknown words in the initial color. To do this it would not only be nice to be able to change the standard "blue" in say yellow or some lighter shade, but also to be able to… more

Add batch-adding of text-files to database
I'd like to be able to have lwt add/parse multiple texts I have/have put in the form of text files to the database to avoid having to do it one by one from the "new text" page.

More & Improved statistics
More visualization option for statistics (graphics, bars, etc).
More statistics. Two examples:
1. Graphic showing how many cards will be reviewed every day for the next x days
2. Number of cards in an custom interval (i.e: number of cards that are to be reviewed in the next week + number of cards to be reviewed next month, etc).

Automatically import from RSS feeds
I would love to be able to automatically import text from RSS feeds.
It would be especially awesome if it could support specific sites too, like http://www.dw-world.de/dw/0,,8030,00.html which includes both transcript and MP3 of daily German news.

New "IGNORE ALL" button
(From User Tommus @HTLAL) I have a couple of suggestions about marking words to "ignore". After I have either learned or added all the normal words in a text, the remaining words are usually all proper names, such as place names, people's names, or other-language words. They remain highlighted in blue. I'd like to be able to easily mark all of these as "ignore". I recommend a second button beside "I KNOW ALL", such as "IGNORE ALL" that would mark all remaining words in blue as "ignore".
